The number of incidents of piracy and armed robbery has decreased in 2017. The news comes in the wake of the International Chamber of Commerce’s (ICC) International Maritime Bureau’s (IMB) latest quarterly report on maritime piracy, which identified a total of 121 incidents of piracy and armed robbery against ships reported to the IMB Piracy Reporting Centre between January and September 2017.
