Preparing for inspections

Port State Control inspections  has revealed many deficiencies in relation to MARPOL Annex VI, Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships. In response to this we have developed a new on-board training concept to prepare for Port State Control inspections, by raising awareness of the most common defects found on inspections and giving advice on how to avoid them.

Paris MOU deficiencies (https://www.parismou.org/inspection-search/inspection-results-deficiencies) and announcement that Paris MOU will have a concentrated inspection campaign on MARPOL Annex VI in 2018.

This Pocket Guide will be a good guide and tool ensuring your ship complies with MARPOL Annex VI. The module will explain the topic in a simple way with strong focus on what is important related to a port state control. At the end of the module the crew can print out a checklist that will assist them to check compliance with MARPOL Annex VI.
