Deck safety for supply vessels

Assisting in training needs for the more hazardous tasks involved in Offshore operations this module has been developed in consultation with offshore experts and also mandatory legislation and guidelines.The module would also assist a company in their responsibilities under section A-I/14 paragraph 2.1.2 of the STCW code Part A, to provide familiarisation information to newly employed seafarers.

Details

The aim of the module is to give all personnel working on the deck of an offshore platform supply vessel, the knowledge necessary to appreciate the hazards concerned and actions required to allow them to work safely at all times. Information is given on how to control the risks associated with general deck work, mooring operations, and when working both deck and bulk cargoes.The module would also assist a company in their responsibilities under section A-I/14 paragraph 2.1.2 of the STCW code Part A, to provide familiarisation information to newly employed seafarers.
